Investment Controller / Beteiligungscontroller (m/f)

We are looking for a Cologne based Investment Controller (m/f) to provide support for strategic and operational decision making as well as liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

The challenge you are up for

  • Performance monitoring: Carry out monthly financial monitoring and reporting and continuously monitor deviations of our investment companies (e.g. start-up companies)
  • Support the annual planning process including in depth analysis and setting of KPIs
  • Develop recommendations for (HRS and investment) management on the basis of financial and business data and qualitative insight
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the investment companies to help them advance and professionalize. Build up structures within HRS to professionalize the investment management function

The commitment you bring

  • Completed business studies preferably with a focus on controlling / financing or a comparable training
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in controlling or consulting, preferably in an international and M&A / financing environment
  • Very strong analytical skills and numbers driven reasoning
  • Experience in business- and liquidity planning. Experience in financial modelling is a plus
  • Strong MS Excel- and MS Powerpoint skills
  • Self-initiative and autonomous working style
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving ability and pragmatism
  • Solid communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent language skills in English and German
