Vice President Global Software Development (m/f)


We are looking for a Cologne based Vice President Global Software Development (m/f) to lead the delivery of innovative global solutions through product operations teams, agile coaches and people managers.

The challenge you are up for

  • Manage the software development all the way from early stages to software deployment
  • Help manage the product life cycle process and steer the development units in 3rd level and problem management processes
  • Budget squad (all FE, BE, Mobile developer, QA’s) resources annually and ensure highest efficiency and within budget
  • Be an open and responsive planning and escalation partner for product owners and agile coaches in a squad 
  • Evangelize an agile development process and steer agile coaches
  • Ensure actionable development and operations performance reporting

The commitment you bring

  • Higher degree in IT or equivalent in professional experience
  • Experienced leader in strategic change and people management
  • Several years experience in working in a global technology organization, ideally e-commerce
  • At least 5 years experience in leadership of agile product development managing organizations of at least > 50 employees
  • Deep expertise in Scrum and Kanban
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and learning skills
  • Fluency in written and verbal German and English mandatory
