Director Strategic Accounts APAC (m/f)

We are looking for a Shanghai based Director Strategic Accounts APAC (m/f) to develop the strategy process and roadmap for hotel chain partners, connectivity companies, and other distribution partners with high strategic importance to HRS.

Our business unit Hotel Solutions takes care of the procurement of the HRS Group. This means, our sales colleagues engage with our hotel partners in order to support them maximizing their distribution success. But also acquiring and bundling the best accommodations and conditions for our business and leisure customers is their passion.

The challenge you are up for

  • Lead and manage projects and initiatives with high strategic importance to HRS – from initial concept phase to implementation in the line organization
  • Participate and develop strategy process and roadmap for Hotel chain partners, connectivity partners, and other distribution partners (including regional OTAs)
  • Lead an account management team and serve as functional lead of HRS offices for topics related to areas of expertise
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior decision making executives at hotel chain and connectivity partner HQs within the region for managed accounts
  • Introduce state-of-the art key account concepts for most important chain and distribution partners, consistent with HRS global strategy
  • Act as a national and international representative and industry thought leader for HRS
  • Conduct business development projects in existing and expansion markets

The commitment you bring

  • A good to excellent business-related university degree
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the hospitality and travel industry in China / APAC with in depth knowledge of hotel chains, OTAs, 3rd party content providers, and the travel distribution landscape
  • Familiarity with the business travel landscape in the region.
  • Very good market knowledge (Greater China + APAC), high level of confidence conducting business in the region
  • Experience in managing a sales organization with a consultative/analytical focus
  • Very strong analytical skills combined with revenue management experience
  • Ability to think strategically, but also willingness to “jump in” during implementation or as needed
  • Passionate, motivational and inspiring leadership to delegate effectively and maximize individual potential
  • Energetic and self-motivated: a go-getter
  • Mandarin and English fluency and strong business language skills; any additional language proficiency is a plus.
