The HRS Group is one of the best medium-sized employers, according to the Top Job academic survey by the University of St. Gallen. The analyses reviewed the tools used in the HR management as well as the strategic direction of the management. As part of the study, almost 500 HRS employees evaluated the workplace culture in areas such as employee management, motivation and personal development opportunities. HRS’ overall results were performed above average, leading to presentation of the official signet to HRS executives in Berlin last week by Wolfgang Clement, former German Federal Minister of Economics.
HRS employees noted that the company’s culture and leadership encourages employees to think and act in an entrepreneurial manner in day-to-day business activities. “As an e-commerce company, we operate in a very dynamic market. That’s why it’s important for our employees to be flexible and open-minded in order to be able to take the right decisions,” commented Tobias Ragge, HRS CEO. Collaboration within the company also received very positive scores in the survey.
The German news magazine Focus also selected HRS as one of the Top National Employers of 2017 in the Internet category. An online survey by market research institute Statista was included in the evaluation. HRS employees answering questions on leadership, compensation and career prospects. Statista also took a Xing employee survey into account as well as ratings submitted on the employer rating portal Kununu. More than 100,000 employees participated in the survey in total.
An internal survey in which more than 1,600 employees of the HRS Group worldwide participated, also confirmed these results: Participants praised the setting and implementation of personal objectives as a motivational incentive and also noted a superior collaborative environment for driving an open, friendly work office atmosphere. HRS recorded a participation rate of 73 percent in the survey.
Founded in Germany in 1972, HRS has developed into an international e-commerce company. In addition to the online booking portal which focuses on individual bookers, HRS Global Hotel Solutions provides more than 40,000 international companies with hotel booking services along the entire value chain. HRS simplifies business travel, reducing hotel costs for companies and increasing business traveller satisfaction. In summer 2017, HRS is relocating to a new headquarters in Cologne, Germany. The modern office building, situated right by the main train station, will provide space for 850 employees on a total of 14,000 square metres. The open-plan workplaces and generously proportioned areas feature the style of different continents and reflect the company’s international scope as well as plans for expansion. This also means that there is always an attractive workspace for colleagues coming from other offices. HRS employs nearly 600 team members in Cologne, with another 1,000 employees spread across 27 offices worldwide.
