All HRS’s offices are located centrally in the world’s largest cities. Our new headquarter “Coeur Cologne” is located in the heart of Cologne’s city center, right next to the central train station, the Cologne cathedral and the Rhine riverside. Cologne’s shopping streets are just a few walking minutes away with countless shops and restaurants. The central office location gives employees an ideal access to public transport and offers excellent connection to the highway and nearby airports.
At HRS, you have the option of setting your own working hours flexibly around the core hours of 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This enables you to combine work with the needs of your private life. This is available in all departments except for the service centre, whose employees work based on a fixed plan system, since this ensures that we are able to be contacted by our customers at all times.
We also offer home office days. This provides them the opportunity to work from home, which simultaneously promotes a healthy work-life balance.
Human resources development
We invest in continued technical training and advanced personal skill training for our employees, for example with the help of professional trainers from around the world and via special formats like our company academy. This allows us to teach a uniform standard of product knowledge and sales expertise worldwide. With our HRS Talent Program, we also offer employees the chance to expand their networks and develop their careers. The basis for all development measures is the annual performance review, which is standardised for all employees. This and the annual employee satisfaction survey, HRS Echo, provide a chance for our employees to submit feedback and make important changes with their own ideas. We welcome our new employees via an “on-boarding program” during our “International Introduction Days”.
Employee referral program
Our employees know best who is right for our company. That’s why we operate an employee referral program, which rewards employees with a generous bonus for successfully recommending suitable candidates to us.
Our employees think like entrepreneurs and act performance-oriented. For this reason, their salary consists of a fixed and a performance-related ratio. At HRS we work together as one global team – united towards one shared direction. Thus, for all colleagues shared company/business unit targets are the basis for the bonus payout. In addition to that, there are personal sales targets for those colleagues that can directly impact sales.
Every employee gets the equipment needed for their role. If you have a role with frequent travel or customer meetings, we provide you with a laptop and a mobile phone. A company car is provided in case you frequently need to visit customers.
As the employer of over 1,500 people, the health of our employees is important to us. Our employees have the services of our company doctor and health and safety officer at their disposal, and they can also train as company first-aid officers or further develop their skills in this area. We support our employees with discounted membership on fitness services. Regularly occurring health days support our employees achieve a healthy living and working balance. We also provide hot and cold drinks and fruit free of charge.
The integration of people with disabilities is important to HRS. Our workstations are able to be adjusted to meet individual requirements using equipment such as height-adjustable desks, hoists, seats with back support, standing aids, and many other helpful aids. We want you to feel comfortable where you work.
Food and Beverages
HRS is providing coffee, tea and water for free. We do have small kitchens on every floor including a fridge and a microwave. Our headquarters is located in the heart of Cologne surrounded by many restaurants e.g. salad bars, Sushi, Italian or Asian Food.
Our employees enjoy special conditions when booking hotel accommodation and other services. They can also take advantage of the regularly occurring special reductions on our corporate benefits portal and enjoy attractive offers involving technology, events, and fashion. Because HRS is part of the tourism industry, our staff is also eligible for the Travel Industry Card, which offers further attractive discounts.
We also hold HRS Talks on a regular basis, which are an information event for our employees, during which our CEO and the various departments provide information about current company topics and market developments. This is a perfect opportunity for our employees to talk with the speakers and share information with their colleagues. Our company culture is heavily influenced by the culture of Germany’s Rhineland, which means that we like to have a good time together. We hold various team events in the summer, have a big HRS party at a top Cologne location at Christmas, and we even celebrate the German Carnival season each year at the centre of Cologne with our HRS Carnival Party. Annual international kick-off events enable international colleagues to meet in different locations like Berlin, Lisbon, or Garmisch-Partenkirchen to exchange ideas and to network.
